Climate
We are located in Guatemalan Highlands where the weather is normally temperate. Year round daytime temperatures averages about 68° Fahrenheit. Late afternoon, evenings and early morning temperatures tend to be cool due to the high elevation. Summer rain showers usually occur during the afternoon from May/June until October/November.

Clothing
Dress in Guatemala is relatively informal. Warm sweaters or jackets, as well as other cold weather clothing should be included since most buildings are not heated. A comfortable pair of shoes is advised.
A rain jacket is recommended if visiting from May to September and warmer clothes from November through February. Evenings and early mornings are cold at these times, yet the sun usually warms up the need for lightweight clothes and even sunblock. If you have room, a sleeping bag is a good idea for the colder winter nights.
